I should called this gallery 'People, Portraits & Personality' because that exactly what I aim to do - capture people and show some personality! I have a genuine curiosity about how a person presents themselves to the world: how they choose to behave, what they wear, their hair, their clothes, their attitude etc etc... it all adding up to something unique which is waht I try to sift for. I want to know what makes someone tick. One aspect I particularly cherish is that it brings strong personalities into my life that I have to interact with professionally. Sometimes they are calm or aloof, sometimes excited and playful, or serious and occasionally awkward, but people never cease to amaze me. Portraiture is at its best when a photo manages to captured a particular slice of personality the sitter reveals whittingly or unwittingly - it allows you to see THEM!
